The Media Institute (TMI) is a non-profit organisation focused on enabling and supporting media-centric research and development. Founded by UCL (University College London) in 2010, we are a member-based independent commercial entity focused on:
- Enriching collaboration between academia and industry, providing granular access to R&D resources to companies and innovators of all sizes
- Accelerating and expanding the volume of media-related research conducted, benefiting the media industry, media researchers and global stakeholders
- Providing infrastructure for project support, market intelligence and dissemination
- Life-cycle management for research outputs, ensuring robust longevity and usability, and delivering access to open outputs
Based in Bloomsbury in the heart of London’s vibrant media and academic communities, TMI engages with media organisations and researchers worldwide.
